Last week, first-year Bridges Scholar Jeff Shaul attended the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing. This annual meeting is held regularly on the Big Island, Hawai’i. Here we covered the gamut of bioinformatics, from presentations on the Precision Medicine Initiative, being a data “parasite” and no-boundary thinking. We are already looking forward to PSB 2018, “mahalo” to the organizers!
