“What Should I be When I
Grow Up and When Will I be
Grown Up?”

Tina Goudreau Collison is a full Professor in the School of Chemistry
and Materials Science at RIT. Dr. Goudreau joined the faculty in 2003,
was tenured in 2009 and was granted full in 2018. She earned a BA in
Chemistry from Colby College and then pursued a PhD in Organic
Chemistry at the University of Rochester under the mentorship of Dr.
Robert K. Boeckman, Jr. Although she has taught and trained a large
number of students in the research lab in the pursuit of natural
product synthesis, her research career swerved in 2012 as she started
a career in chemistry education. In this talk, she will discuss how the
best laid plans can change and share some life hacks learned along the
way.
