About

Dr. Belal Al-Khamaiseh is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Physics at Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada) in 2018 and M.Sc./B.Sc. in Mathematics from Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan) in 2010 and 2008, respectively. Prior to joining Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai in 2022, he worked as a Visiting Assistant professor of Mathematics at the American University of Sharjah (UAE) for two years and as an Assistant professor of Mathematics at Emirates Aviation University (UAE) for one year.

  • Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada (2018).
  • Master of Science (M.Sc) in Applied Mathematics, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan (2010).
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mathematics and Statistics, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan (2008).

  • Teaching Assistance, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Memorial University, Canada (2013-2018)
  • Graduate Student Fellowship, School of Graduate Studies, Memorial University, Canada (2013-2016)
  • Teaching Skills Enhancement Program (TSEP) Certificate, Memorial University, Canada(2016)
  • Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies Award, Memorial University, Canada (2018)
My general areas of research interest include: partial differential equations, heat transfer, numerical analysis and simulation. My current research interest is about using different mathematical techniques (analytical and numerical) to develop and provide computational algorithms and tools that can be useful for engineers and analysts in studying different transport phenomena, such as mass and heat transfer.
