Program cohort is starting in Fall (August) 2022.

The Master of Science in Service Leadership & Innovation is delivered through a combination of daytime and evening classes, and online learning, culminating in a comprehensive examination or capstone project. Class schedules cater to working professionals, providing intensive seminars that will allow you to develop and practice the following competencies:

  • Creating and innovating new service ideas, practices, and policies.

  • Building and utilizing sophisticated human capital assets wisely.

  • Designing, aligning, and implementing new strategic focus.

  • Building experiences that the customer values.

  • Application of leadership concepts to produce superior performance outcomes.

Our world-class professors fly in from RIT NY to deliver the program, ensuring you receive the most up-to-date learning experience equal to classmates in the U.S. Further classroom teaching and follow-up support are offered through the virtual classroom with professors located simultaneously in Dubai and New York.

Mission:

The Master of Science in Service Leadership & Innovation program aims to develop leadership skills that prepare graduates to deliver innovative solutions across service industries to advance the quality and competitiveness of service organizations in the UAE, GCC, MENA, and the world. 

Program Educational Objectives:

The Master of Science in Service Leadership & Innovation Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) are broad statements that describe what you would be expected to attain within a few years of graduation. PEOs are based on the needs of the program’s constituencies. The Service Leadership & Innovation faculty, in conjunction with its constituents, has established the following program educational objectives:

  • Exhibit a leadership capacity that fosters innovation and provides value to customers.

  • Apply systematic critical thinking to problem situations to bring innovation to the market. 

  • Translate service design principles across organizations describing how innovation moves from process to market. 

  • Design and implement differentiators to provide a measurable competitive advantage to the organization. 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to grow innovation capacity.

All businesses providing services seek to promote innovation within their organization to drive growth and ensure market share. A degree in service leadership and innovation will prepare you for a senior role within your organization, building on your discipline knowledge to help you lead productivity and promote an innovation culture.

Students can complete the program by writing a thesis, conducting a capstone project, or completing a comprehensive exam. Students who choose the comprehensive exam will be required to take one additional course: SERQ 787 Service Design and Implementation.
