Our undergraduate Mechanical Engineering students enrolled at the Thermodynamics class, witnessed a very informative and productive visit to one of the highest-tech aircraft engine maintenance centre in the world (the Emirates centre). The students, who are currently studying Thermodynamics module and the components of jet engines, had the opportunity to put theory into practice at the Emirates centre.

The Emirates engineers gave the students an informative tour at the maintenance centre of jet engines, which included General Electric (GE90), and turbofan engine utilized for Boeing 777 aircraft. The tour also included the assembly/disassembly, radioactive inspection for defects, repairing, balancing, and maintaining the engine.

Special thanks goes to Eng. Musa Faisal (Vice President at Emirates Airline) and his team for making this visit possible!
