We are excited to offer the AI Essentials for Educators course to RIT faculty again in the Spring 2026 semester!
Developed by the Center for Teaching and Learning, this hybrid course introduces the foundations of AI literacy for education. Participants will explore the basics of AI, learn about RIT-specific tools which can support teaching, and revise their teaching philosophy to respond to today’s evolving educational landscape.
The goal of this course is to provide faculty with the time and space to learn about AI and to decide what role AI will or will not play within their own classrooms.
Course Format & Schedule
- Kick off (in-person): Thursday, February 5, 3:30-4:20 pm
- Wrap up (in-person): Wednesday, March 4, 12-12:50 pm
- Asynchronous components: Four online modules in myCourses to be completed independently between live sessions, along with an optional, virtual midpoint session
Join us in an opportunity to learn from your RIT colleagues and define your comfort-level with AI in education. Registration for the online course, including both in-person sessions, is open through Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
