When: January 29, 2025; 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Session 1) and 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM (Session 2)
Where: University Gallery, Campus Center

Raise a glass to 100 days until graduation! Enjoy wine and beer pairings with curated food, and test your creativity by painting your own canvas masterpiece. Plus, take home a charcuterie board as a special keepsake to mark this exciting milestone. This event is exclusive to final-year graduating students. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $25

Graduate Student Anxiety Toolbox

When: January 31, 2025; 12 PM – 1:30 PM
Where: CPC-2650 Bamboo Room

Do you struggle with anxiety like so many of us? Join CaPS provider, Thomas Peechatt, LMHC, in Workshop, intended exclusively for graduate students. This single session, 90 minute workshop, combines 3 focus areas dedicated to: 1) understanding anxiety, 2) introducing a method for slowing down and disentangling the experience of anxiety, and 3) developing alternative, healthier responses. By the end of the workshop, you will have the tools to create your own individualized plan for managing anxiety.

AWARE-AI NRT: Spring Roundtable - Grant Writing Panel

This AWARE-AI Spring Roundtable discusses applying for research funding, from the perspective both of applying for a first external grant and for applying for a national fellowship such as the NSF GRFP. Hosted by the AWARE-AI NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) Program, this free roundtable session welcomes NRT Trainees and other RIT graduate students.

Resume Writing for Graduate Students

When: February 04, 2025; 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Where: Student Hall for Exploration and Development, SHED 3350

This workshop will help you build your resume and curriculum vitae (CV). Speakers will discuss what should be included on a resume and a CV and how to format and organize the content. Along with the presentation, you will have the opportunity to work on your resume and CV and get help and advice from RIT staff.

Film student captures major award from Directors Guild of America 

Film and animation MFA student and NTID staff member, Gabriel Ponte-Fleary, received a major honor for his film, Un Viaje de Fe (A Journey of Faith). He received the Directors Guild of America award. Ponte-Fleary is the first Deaf or Hard of Hearing director honored in the Documentary category, now in its fourth year of being awarded.

RIT has again been recognized for offering one of the best online programs in the nation. The 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, released this week, listed Saunders College of Business’ online Executive MBA program as No. 11 in the nation for “Best Online MBA Programs.”
