Trip to Corning Museum of Glass

Travel to a world of glass and witness exciting live demos, with a chance to try your hands at sandblasting and making creations of your own! Ticket Price: $17, includes admission, transportation, and sandblasting workshop.

Explaining Your Research to a Broad Audience Workshop

When: March 25, 2025; 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: Wallace Library, WAL-3420

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn practical strategies to clearly and confidently communicate your research to a general audience in both a longer and shorter form presentation style. We’ll cover key aspects of structure, preparation, delivery, and language to help you make your research accessible and engaging. Whether you're preparing for a conference, job interview, or casual conversation, this workshop will equip you with the tools to share your work with impact.

Attendees should bring a general-language abstract about their graduate research or project. Seating is limited, and registration is required.

Coffee and snacks will be provided.

This interactive session will introduce RIT graduate students to Adobe Express with Firefly Generative AI for creating audio/visual projects with ease and efficiency. With guidance from Adobe experts, participants will learn how to visually communicate data-driven information for broader, non-specialized audiences. More specifically, presenters will walk through template features, graphic design principles, and strategies for crafting professional-looking presentations.

Ten faculty members standing, were honored at a campus ceremony and recognized for innovative research.

RIT recognizes faculty-researchers for innovative projects and funding milestone

Researchers who contributed to RIT receiving nearly $103 million in sponsored research awards during the past fiscal year, including 10 faculty members who reached or surpassed $1 million this past fiscal year, were inducted into the yearly classes of PI Millionaires.
