Graduate Student Coffee Hour

When: October 23, 2025, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Where: Crossroads, River Room

Stop by the October Graduate Student Coffee Hour. All master's and PhD students are welcome and encouraged to stop by for free coffee and to meet and mingle with graduate students from the various graduate programs across campus. We plan to host a graduate student coffee hour once a month this semester. Free coffee and cookies.

AWARE-AI Fall 24 Hour Hackathon

Facilitator: Ferat Sahin, Ph.D., Department Head, Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering

During the hackathon, graduate students will create a deployable AI system that exemplifies the principles of human awareness and responsibility and demo what they have created. Hosted by the AWARE-AI Program, this free competition welcomes NRT Trainees and other RIT graduate students. If you are not an AWARE-AI trainee, this free hackathon requires registration.

Awkward to Awesome: Your guide to networking without the cringe

When you hear the word networking, do you get nervous? Most of us do. Join us for a practice networking event! Professional networking is more than attending career fairs. During this event, you will learn strategies to walk into a networking event confidently, questions to ask, and ways to make solid connections. This will be an interactive workshop where you can practice your networking in a low-stress setting.

Join The Collective as we welcome author Cole Arthur Riley for a lecture, Q&A session, followed by a book signing and reception. The night will focus on Riley’s work, Black Liturgies, a project that integrates spiritual practice with Black emotion, Black literature, and the Black body. ASL interpreters provided.
