Welcome to our new feature in Pulse, where you'll receive periodic updates from the Graduate Senator.

Hi everyone! I’m Shahzeb “Shazzy” Jadoon, your Graduate Senator.

I’m a second-year master’s student in Computer Engineering from Lahore, Pakistan, and I’m honored to represent RIT graduate students on Student Government this year. My goal is to help make your time here more connected, collaborative, and fun, whether through campus events, advocacy, or simply by listening to your ideas.

This semester, I had the honor of carrying the Golisano Institute for Sustainability’s banner during President Sanders’ inauguration. It was a proud moment that reflected the active role student government members play in shaping RIT’s community.

I took part in several Brick City Homecoming events this past weekend. I joined fellow RIT Tigers to run the Brick City 5K, met up with Ritchie towards the end, and attended the performance by comedian Craig Robinson. I also had the chance to meet Dan Povenmire, the Emmy-winning co-creator of Phineas and Ferb, through my role on Student Government, which arranged for his arrival.

I’ll be sharing more about my journey, what inspired me to take on this role, and my goals for RIT’s graduate community in an interview-style Q&A blog in the next few weeks.
