Rochester Fringe Festival

When: September 10, 2024 – September 21, 2024

RIT is proud to be a sponsor of the 2024 Rochester Fringe Festival. The Rochester Fringe Festival is a spectacular celebration of the performing and visual arts. Fringe Festival will be filled with numerous performances, exhibits, and events. All RIT performances and exhibits are free to attend. Shuttle bus service from campus to the venue is available on our weekend show dates.

AWARE-AI Fall Hackathon

When: September 16, 2024, 4:00 PM – 11:59 PM and September 17, 2024, 12:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Where: James E. Gleason, 3139 & 3119

Facilitator: Ferat Sahin, Ph.D., Department Head, Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering

During the hackathon, graduate students will create a deployable AI system that exemplifies the principles of human awareness and responsibility and demo what they created.

Alternative Break: Information Sessions

The Alternative Break (AB) program gives students the opportunity to engage in direct service in collaboration with communities around the world. Students who participate spend 5-9 days learning about critical challenges facing communities, interacting with local leaders, and performing short-term projects with community agencies. Join the CLCE and Alternative Break Alumni for a panel style discussion on all things AB!

Attend the GEM GRAD Lab to find out how to get paid to attend grad school, discover funding opportunities, learn how to apply to grad school, and find out what to expect in grad school. *Students must qualify as per GEM requirements.
