American Physical Society Fellowship Workshop

When: September 20, 2024, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Where: Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, CAR-1275

Applying for a graduate fellowship this fall? Whether it's the NSF GFRP, the NASA FINNEST or NSTGRO, the DOD NDSEG or another, bring your application to our fellowship workshop. A panel of fellowship awardees and reviewers will present wisdom from successful applications to different awards over the past few years. Work on your applications with personalized feedback from the panelists. This event is for graduate and graduating undergraduate students actively writing grant applications for graduate fellowships. You do not need to have finished a full draft. Pizza will be provided!

Bow Wow Wellness

Having a ruff day? Come see your your favorite furry friends are back! Stop by the Fireside Lounge to de-stress with therapy dogs. If you're missing your fur family at home, come hang out with these pups and take a break to feel refreshed and relaxed.

Goat Yoga with Goat Yoga of New York!

When: September 26, 2024, 11:30 AM – 4:15 PM
Where: Greek Lawn - next to the HAC Student Life Center

Take a moment to destress and regroup! Enjoy a 30 minute beginner yoga class for humans while a tribe of goats engage with you yogi's! You are encouraged to show off your RIT spirit by wearing an RIT shirt to the event!

AWARE-AI Workshop: Communicating with Broader Audiences

When: October 03, 2024 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Where: Liberal Arts Hall, 1251- S McKenzie Commons

Hosted by the AWARE-AI Program, this workshop will focus on communicating with broader audiences- policy & decision-makers, the media, and the public. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Ammina Kothari.

PRISM - A meeting space for students with intersectional identities

A new space has opened on campus to create community, have conversations, and foster learning through educational and unique programming focusing on women, queer students, and their allies. PRISM, an acronym for the PRogressive Intersectional Space to Meet, is managed by the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Resource Center and is located on the second floor of the Campus Center in the former Reading Room.
