- The Student Health Center

- Counseling and Psychological Services
offers short-term, goal-focused individual therapy, group therapy, crisis support, and psychiatric services in an open, safe, and confidential environment. If you currently, regularly see a professional for counseling or need long-term or specialized treatment, please continue treatment with your provider or contact our Case Management

- The Case Management
team assists students in connecting to resources on- and off-campus, as well as helping students navigate complex personal problems including health insurance, food and housing insecurity, financial concerns, and more. Learn more >
- Disability Services
employs an interactive, student-centered process to determine and approve reasonable accommodations for disabled students. Accommodations can help mitigate barriers in any facet of the RIT experience, whether academic, residential, or co-curricular, and may support needs related to mental health, learning, chronic illness, communication, mobility, and more. - Wellness Programs and Services promote and develop healthy lifestyles, social interaction, and leadership skills among RIT students. This includes:
- The Center for Recreational Sports
manages recreation facilities on campus, Intramurals, and club sports. If you’re interested in playing your favorite sport, trying out a new activity, or making friends with similar interests, join an Intramurals team! Recreation facilities and Intramurals are also great places on campus for student employment.
- Health Promotion
hosts a variety of programs throughout the academic year focused on health education information, skill development, and opportunities for growth. Topics include alcohol and cannabis education, mental wellness and social connection, sexual health education, as well as stress and sleep management.
- Wellness Education
and Outdoor Education,
combined, offer over 400 wellness-related classes each year. There is a large variety of courses available for you to choose from, including Yoga, Kickboxing, Ballet, Hip Hop, Meditation, Finding Your Passion, Flag Football, Archery, Golf, and more. Students are required to take two wellness classes prior to graduation, but there is no limit to the number of classes you can take.
- Outdoor Education
also manages “Red Barn Climbing”, RIT’s own indoor rock climbing gym, and a variety of outdoor and adventure-related Wellness Education courses.
