Why did you choose the Executive MBA program?
After vetting multiple MBA programs, it was evident that RIT's Executive MBA program was the complete package that I was looking for. It incorporated practical methods to interpret and analyze information and make strategic decisions. I was able to apply those methods immediately, which allowed me to become more effective in my role and advance my career.
How has your education helped your career?
The Executive MBA provided me the confidence to take on new challenges both professionally and personally. Shortly after completing the program, I was offered the opportunity to join the senior management team at my current organization. This was a goal that I'd pursued from the very beginning of my career.
What has been the biggest takeaway from your experience?
This experience taught me how to work under intense pressure with tight deadlines. I learned to manage my time much more effectively, address multiple priorities simultaneously, and work collaboratively with others to complete the job at hand.
What is your best piece of advice?
Stay the course. There will be times that you doubt yourself and question your ability to persevere. Those are the moments where we grow the most and emerge stronger and more capable than ever before.
If you had to do it all over again, would you?
Hands down I would do it again. I am able to apply the skills that I acquired in this program each and every day in my current role. I work in an industry that is rapidly changing, and strategic decision making based on multiple layers of information has become more critical than ever. I also developed lasting friendships and professional connections with many of my classmates which has expanded my network well outside of my industry.
