University-Wide Career Fair Schedule

RIT Fall 2018 Career Fair – Wednesday, October 3rd

This Career Fair is at capacity. Please call our Receptionist at 585-475-2301.

A Career Services Coordinator will work with your company to determine whether the Institute-Wide Career fair is a good fit for you, or if other recruiting options would be better suited for the needs of your company.

The registration fee is $495 for the fair and includes two recruiters. Additional reps are $50 each.   If you wish to stay the next day to interview career fair candidates, the fee is $125 for 2 recruiters, and additional reps are $50 each.
Each table is 6ft long and will be skirted.

Career Fair Schedule (Gordon Field House)

8:00 a.m. Employer Check-in and Set-up begins
8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Continental breakfast available in Reception Room (2nd floor, Gordon Field House)
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Floor open for student/alumni and employer interaction
12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Please enjoy lunch served in the Reception Room on 2nd floor (only water is allowed on Field House floor)
4:00 p.m. Career Fair ends and tear down begins

Interview Day Schedule (Gordon Field House)

Your schedule for Interview Day should be comprised of candidates you met during the Career Fair. Please leave a copy of your Interview Day Schedule with us before you leave the Career Fair.

7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Breakfast for Employers in Reception Room
8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Student Interviews (start time may be earlier by employer preference)
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Lunch available in Reception Room

Saunders Networking Event

We cordially invite you to our annual College of Business Networking Event to be held at the Gordon Field House on Tuesday, October 2nd. This is your opportunity to meet, network and recruit our Juniors, Seniors, and Masters level students the evening before the campus-wide career fair. / Refreshments and Appetizers will be served. Student Clubs and Organizations: Business and Technology Professional Club (BTP), DECA Collegiate Chapter, Financial Management Association, RIT Marketing Club (RITMC), Next Generation of Accountants Saunders Multicultural Business Association, and Women in Business

Affinity Reception

Tuesday, October 2, 2018

Gordon Field House

The objective of the Affinity Reception is to bring together RIT special interest affinity groups and employers who are committed to recruiting a diverse and talented workforce. This will prove critical in the success of global businesses now and in the future. Typically the event last about two hours and gives students an opportunity to talk with employers prior to the career fair. Student groups will set up tables, and employers will walk around and interact with students. (It’s almost like a reverse career fair) Some of the groups that attend include: American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Saunders Multicultural Business Association (SMBA), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Women in Engineering (WE@rit), Women in Technology (WIT), Women in Computing (WIC) and others. In addition, this year students representing the Neurodiverse Hiring Initiative (NHI) will be in attendance. This event will truly represent diversity at RIT.
This event is of no charge.

MAGIC Center and MAGIC Spell Studios Tour

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. MAGIC Center Atrium
Magic + donuts + coffee! Take a special sneak peek tour of RIT's new facility that features a 7,000 square foot state-of-the-art sound stage, professional sound mixing and color correction theater rooms, plus numerous labs and media production facilities. The 180 seat theater is the first of its kind in western New York, featuring 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos audio.  A close-knit community of faculty and student game designers, programmers, filmmakers, and animators will collaborate with industry partners to build entertainment and interactive experiences from the proof-of-concept stage into commercially viable products. Come see it for yourself and learn how your organization may be able to get involved.

If you plan to ship your display materials in advance, please plan to have your materials arrive no earlier than 2 weeks prior to the event and no later than the day prior to the event.

Shipped materials will be delivered to your booth the morning of the Career Fair. Please DO NOT send packages to The Gordon Field House.

After the Career Fair

Have return shipping labels filled out and ready to place on all packages you wish to ship back after the Career Fair. These items will be shipped out the morning after the Career Fair, provided that all necessary information is included on the shipping label.

On-campus parking for this event is at a premium. We ask you to consider utilizing UBER, LYFT,  or a hotel shuttle service where possible and NOT rental cars.  A limited number of spaces are available in D Lot near the Gordon Field House.  We ask that you do not park in any spots labeled RESERVED.  Once D Lot has reached capacity, you will be directed to B Lot. Please drop materials at the Gordon Field House first and then proceed to B Lot. Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from B Lot to the Gordon Field House. Look for the White buses with the Career Fair sign in the window.
