The telecommunications engineering technology program includes eight core courses that introduce essential fundamental concepts and skills. Students are required to complete a comprehensive exam, a capstone project, or a thesis. 
Networking: Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP Switching: VTP, STP, VLAN, SDN
Protocols: 802.11 protocol, Active Directory, Integrated Routing & Bridging, VPN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, IPv4/v6, TCP,VoIP, MPLS,Cloud computing, LAN/ WAN design
Servers: DHCP, DNS, SFTP, Exchange 2010, NX
Devices: Cisco Routers and Switches, Raspberry Pi
Wireless: CDMA, GSM, LTE, Bluetooth, Software Radio Design, USRP (SDR), RF
Languages: Shell Scripting, Python, VHDL, Verilog,  C
Applications: MATLAB, GNS3, GNU Radio, VMware, Cisco Packet Tracer, MULTISIM

Students are exposed to the REDCOM Telecommunications Systems Lab, Cisco VoIP, Lucent DSLAM, Nortel OC-3, P-com Tel-Link, REDCOM MDX, Tellabs DCC, TTC T-Bird, Allworks VoIP. Edcom Fiber Optics Communications Kits, Agilent 86143B Optical Spectrum Analyzer, Keithley 428 Programmable Current Amplifier, LeCroy WaveSurfer 3022 Oscilloscope, LDC 201 100mA Laser Diode & 2A TEC Controller, Photonics Systems Lab.
