Student Skills & CapabilitiesStudents obtain skills in EHS problem solving and root cause analysis, EHS regulatory interpretation and application, EHS hazard and aspect identification and control, team building, EHS program development and review, EHS record keeping, OSHA 40-hour Certification in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, accident investigation, industrial hygiene monitoring and control, environmental monitoring and measurement, and written and oral communication.
Equipment & FacilitiesLocated in a LEED Silver building, the Environmental & Occupational Health laboratory allows students to engage in extensive laboratory work in environmental geology, hydrology, occupational health and safety monitoring and measurement as well as environmental monitoring and measurement.
