Being a Junior in ROTC is as rewarding as it is challenging. Being in leadership positions forces me to make decisions for not only myself, but also for the people I am responsible for. ROTC has taught me to persevere, not only for ruck marches at 5:30 in the morning, but also for my studies later in the same day. As an MS3 specifically, even though I may stay up until the deep reaches of the night preparing for leadership lab or physical training, it is completely compensated by being able to instruct younger cadets on military aspects.  More importantly, watching them grow as both leaders and people alike. I would suggest Army ROTC for any person who desires to lead and has a will to show resiliency through difficult situations.
