International Hospitality & Service Management
I initially came to RIT as a photography student, but then was undecided for a year and a half. I started taking Hospitality classes and was instantly attracted to the industry. The classes were interesting and fun and were taught by very experienced professors that know the ins and outs of the hotel world. I had the best co-op a hotel major could ask for, working at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida. It is because of the RIT Hospitality department that I know that the hospitality field is the one for me. One of the main reasons I came to RIT was because of the amazing resources the program provides you and helps prepare you for your future career. I was given the best opportunities a college student could have and because of RIT, I have an extremely strong resume that will set me up for a great career. Working at The Chatham Bars Inn, and The Ritz-Carlton before has given me the experience I need to be successful in the industry. The faculty in the hospitality department are so supportive and will connect you with the correct contacts to help you find the job you want. RIT has truly been an amazing experience and I am looking forward to seeing where I will be working when I graduate.
