Electrical Engineering Technology
Clifton Park, NY
I love being in electrical engineering technology because along with learning the theory, we are provided with real life learning experiences in labs. I have learned countless programs that are used in industry, and completed intriguing labs such as designing a speaker from a cup or building an amplifier circuit. The professors take the time to help students and make sure we understand not only the theory, but the application to industry. This has helped me be successful on co-op. Towards the end of my freshmen year, I joined the RIT SAE Mini Baja team. Since joining I have become designer for the car's data acquisition system. This has provided me with real life experience, and has allowed me to take classroom knowledge and apply it in a technical way.
