Deaf Women of Rochester 45th Anniversary Exhibit
Celebrate 45 years of Deaf Women of Rochester (DWR) and explore the organization’s rich herstory of community, leadership, advocacy, and connection.
Founded in 1981, Deaf Women of Rochester has given Deaf and hard-of-hearing women opportunities to connect, learn, support one another, and grow together. This anniversary exhibit highlights DWR’s history through photographs, archival materials, and stories documenting its members, programs, activities, and contributions to the Rochester Deaf community.
The exhibit features materials from the Deaf Women of Rochester collection in the RIT/NTID Deaf Studies Archive and celebrates 45 years of herstory—growing together since 1981.
