Garth Fagan Dance Summer Movement Institute
Garth Fagan Invites all levels of dancers, ages 12 - Adult, to take part in the 2026 Summer Movement Institute!
** NOW hosted at the beautiful new location, the Rochester Institute of Technology's "The SHED"
The Summer Movement Institute includes 4 classes of instruction per day,
9:30 AM - 4:30 PM EST, Monday - Friday for 3 weeks.
Dancers are encouraged to partake in all 3 weeks. However we do have an option to choose any week(s) we offer.
Participants will experience many classes that will teach elements that can make a quality mover including:
1. Dance Technique classes including Fagan Technique
2. Composition
3. Repertory
4. Specialty classes including Afro Caribbean, Yoga, Injury Prevention, Nutrition, and Music Appreciation.
5. Cultural Field Trips
6. Final Performance (July 25, 2026)

Program Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Authorized Parking: Lot U
Anyone parking on campus during the program must register their vehicle for each day they will be on campus using the link below:

When registering:
- Select the event "July 6–24 G. Fagan Dance Inst."
- Choose each individual day you will be parking on campus before completing your registration.
Important:
- Parking registration is valid only for Lot U.
- Vehicles parked in any other lot or vehicles that are not registered may be subject to parking citations and/or towing at the owner's expense.
Saturday, July 25 – Recital
Parking registration is not required on Saturday.
Attendees may park directly in Lot U, which will be open and available for recital parking.
Daily Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Vehicles dropping off or picking up participants do not need to register.
Parents and guardians may temporarily park in Lot U to walk their child to check-in in the morning or to meet them at pick-up at the end of the day.
