style="color:black">Catalysis is a fundamental process that significantly
impacts chemical industries worldwide. Studies have shown that more than
60% of major products and 90% of process innovations between 1930 and
1980 involved catalysis, emphasizing its crucial role. According to a
survey by Precedence Research, global catalyst demand is projected to
reach $59.66 billion by 2032. In my presentation, I will highlight
efforts focused on developing nanostructured transition metal-based
materials for a range of catalytic transformations. Additionally, I will
demonstrate the pivotal role of analytical instrumentation in material
characterization, offering insights into the composition, structure, and
properties of materials at both molecular and nanoscale levels. From
material synthesis and characterization to catalytic protocol
establishment, my work prioritizes the principles of ‘Green and
 Environmental Chemistry’. Through interdisciplinary collaboration
spanning chemistry, nanoscience, and engineering, I will illustrate the
benefits of diverse research approaches. Furthermore, I will outline
plans to expand my research into designing heterogeneous catalysts
inspired by electrocatalysts and developing sustainable pathways for
 plastic recycling.</span></span></span><span

style="color:black">Dr. Sourav Biswas is an Assistant Professor of
Chemistry at SUNY Buffalo State University, USA. He earned his M.S. in
Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India and his
Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut, USA. Prior to
joining Buffalo State University in 2021, he served as a postdoctoral
research associate at the University of Wisconsin Madison, USA, and at
the University of Delaware, USA. Dr. Biswas is the cofounder and
Associate Director of the SUNY Buffalo State Center for Integrated
Studies in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CISNN), an interdisciplinary
center focusing on nanoscience. His research intersects nanoscience and
catalysis, with a focus on designing nanostructured materials for
environmental and energy applications. His notable achievements include
over 35 peer-reviewed publications, numerous invited presentations, a
research grant from the Glenn Bailey Foundation, and multiple awards such
as the ‘Discretionary Award for Excellence in Scholarship and
Service’ and ‘SUNY OER Services Impact Award’. Dr. Biswas serves as
an associate editor for 'Frontiers in Chemistry' and as an editorial
board member for 'Nature Scientific Reports'.</span></span></span><span
