Period Pain Simulator Experience
The challenge is back! Join us as student affairs staff and student leaders volunteer to test their limits with the Period Pain Simulator. After the demonstration rounds, students in attendance can enter a random drawing for a chance to participate and experience the simulator firsthand.
About the simulator: The simulator sends electrical impulses to the muscles around the uterus or lower abdomen, causing contractions that mimic period-like symptoms. If you don't have a uterus, it can be connected to the lower abdomen to simulate symptoms like leg pain, lower back pain, and general discomfort that makes you want to double over
instead of standing straight.
The goal was to create a tangible experience for those who don't suffer from period pain, to foster empathy, and facilitate open communication. The simulator has been tested extensively on individuals with and without periods, validating its accuracy over 2000 times.
Event Time: 4-8 p.m.
