The event will cover the following topics:
- Can copyrighted artwork be used to train AI?
- How can artists protect their work/portfolio from AI scraping?
- Who owns art created with the assistance of AI?
- Can someone legally copy or use an AI-generated image you made?
Mathur has lectured at NYU, Harvard, FIT, Parsons, and SVA, as well as for museums, bar associations, nonprofits, and arts organizations. The event is presented by the Digital Summer Institute and co-sponsored by the Provost's Office, College of Liberal Arts, School of Individualized Study, and Eugene H.
