RIT hockey’s most loyal fans, The Corner Crew, have long been a staple of games at the Ritter Arena. The Corner Crew, well-known for its rowdy cheers and heckling, was founded in the early eighties by two groups of vocal hockey fans. The first group consisted of largely computer students, faculty, staff, and alumni in the southeast corner of the ice arena. The second group consisted of mainly photo students in the southwest corner of the arena. These groups would attend the games to show their enthusiasm with their trademark cheers. The Corner Crew has grown over the years and will have a new, expanded home in the Gene Polisseni Center beginning in 2014.
