Certificate #3: Ally Development

Many people see themselves as allies of underrepresented populations and discover that good intentions are not always enough. This certificate series helps participants to address the ally role from a competency base, building skill levels and an open-ended process by which to study real life case studies and the long term effects when serving as an advocate for diversity.  The program will also address the advising role for formal and informal advisers whose work is so critical in building multicultural and inclusive approaches when helping students.
