Summer meal plans are based on the number of planned weeks to stay on campus. All funds are in Dining Dollars. This applies to anyone living in the Residence Halls, 175 Jefferson, or the RIT Inn. Commuters can also add a summer meal plan. 

The weekly rate is as follows:

  • 1 Week (1-7 nights): $195
  • 2 Weeks (8-14 nights): $390
  • 3 Weeks (15-21 nights): $600 - Stripes Meal Plan
  • 4 Weeks (22-28 nights): $795
  • 5 Weeks (29-35 nights): $990
  • 6 Weeks (36+ nights): $1,200 - Claws Meal Plan

Fall 2023 Meal Plan Changes

New Meal Plans: There are two new meal plans, Roar and Roar Plus. One of these is required for first year students living in the residence halls. Both plans include Dining Dollars and meals at Gracie's, an all-you-care-to-eat facility. Meals at Gracie's do not roll over each semester. Dining Dollars do rollover each semester. 

Gracie's Meals:

  • Gracie's meals are fixed all-you-care-to-eat meal swipes valid only at Gracie's. There is no limit to the number of meals that can be used daily.
  • Meals may be purchased in bundles of five or ten at tigerspend.rit.edu.
  • Any unused Gracie's meals are forfeited at the end of the semester and will not carry over.

Dining Dollars

  • Dining Dollars are funds used to purchase perishable and non-perishable groceries and food items only. Dining Dollars may be used at all RIT Dining locations, including vending machines. Food purchased with Dining Dollars is not charged the New York State 8% sales tax (exclusions apply for specific New York State mandated goods).
  • Any unused Dining Dollar will roll over from the fall to spring semester. Beginning end of spring semester (May 2024), any funds up to $1,000 in Dining Dollars will roll over after the spring semester until graduation or you exit from the University; any funds over $1,000 will be forfeited.
