The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Recycling Program exists to actively promote proper materials management on campus through reuse, recycling, waste minimization, and other environmentally responsible processes. The program strives to develop solutions, initiatives, and educational programs that encourage sustainable behavior throughout the university in order to facilitate change in our global community.
A key component of RIT’s recycling efforts is our mixed recycling program. The labels below identify what should be put in the recycling containers and what should be put in the landfill container.
For information about all of the materials RIT recycles, waste reduction strategies, and metrics as well as all other campus sustainability initiatives visit the RIT Sustainability website.
