Michael Eveland

Environmental Programs Manager

Michael joined RIT in February of 2019 as the Environmental Programs Manager. Michael's primary responsibilites include: regulatory compliance, air emissions reporting, hazardous waste management, storm water management, wastewater discharges, and wetland permitting.


Prior to joining RIT, Michael spent 5 years as the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at RED-Rochester, LLC. There he helped manage environmental and safety compliance in support of the utilities infrastructure at Eastman Business Park. 


Michael is an active member (and former Chairperson) of the Industrial Issues Committee of New York Water Environment Association and is designated as a Certified Environmental Professional - In Training by the Academy of Board Certified Enviromental Professionals (ABCEP). Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY.
