Travel Assistance Services

For Students

Students who are working or traveling abroad can obtain emergency medical, travel, and personal security assistance 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world through Chubb/AXA, a leading provider of international travel assistance services.

Examples of services: coordination of medical care, translation services, emergency medical/security/natural disaster evacuation, replacement of lost documents, and fund transfer assistance.

Please note: The worldwide Travel Assistance coverage provides $250,000 emergency medical/health insurance. Chubb/AXA provides 24-hour emergency assistance services.

Enrollment in this plan is done through your study abroad or co-op program coordinator.

Faculty/Staff Worldwide Emergency Travel Assistance Services

Chubb/AXA provides global travel assistance and benefits to RIT faculty and staff on business travel. Services include emergency medical evacuation and repatriation, security and natural disaster evacuation, pre-trip planning, medical and dental referrals, medical monitoring, 24-hour nurse help line, translator and interepreter assistance, lost/stolen document replacement and more.

Before you depart...

  • Contact Chubba/AXA with any pre-travel health or security questions and to sign up for emergency alerts for your travel locations
  • Closely review your full plan description
  • Save Chubb/AXA contact information in your mobile phone or print and carry your plan ID card

While abroad...

  • You can contact the Chubb/AXA Global Response Center from anywhere in the world to reach an assistance coordinator who is ready to help you with your crisis, no matter how big or small.
