- Incoming freshmen are required to live in the residence halls and may not use the RIT Housing Connection in order to request apartment housing. If you have any questions, please contact RIT Housing at 585-475-2572 or email@example.com.
Welcome to Housing Connection – a roommate and RIT housing search service that provides an opportunity for students in RIT housing to post openings in their RIT apartments and University Commons or Global Village suites to advertise for a new roommate. Students can also view postings that RIT Housing has placed on the site. RIT Housing posts openings in singles and doubles as singles in the residence halls, doubles as singles at the RIT Inn, vacant one-bedroom apartments, vacant studios in Global Village, and spaces in University Commons and Global Village suites.
Housing Connection allows you to convey your interests, lifestyle preferences, and housing and roommate preferences when you are posting a vacancy or posting yourself as an available roommate.
Listings are posted for 15 days. To extend beyond 15 days, you will need to re-post your listing.
Are you an available roommate hoping to add into a partially occupied apartment or suite?
Post yourself as an available roommate by using the Create Roommate Available Listing form.
Students in RIT housing who need a roommate will be able to search for and view you based on your preferences. If you are asked to roommate add into the space, you can find the directions on how to roommate add into a space here: Roommate Add Instructions.
If you are not currently assigned to RIT housing, you must complete an RIT housing contract before your roommate add can be processed.
Have a vacancy that you need to fill in your RIT housing?
Use the Create Roommate Wanted Listing form if you are currently assigned to an RIT apartment or University Commons or Global Village suite and are looking for a new roommate to fill a vacancy in your apartment or suite. Potential roommates will be able to contact you using the information that you provide on the form. Be sure to check the View Roommate Available Listings page as someone that matches your needs may already be posted!
