(1) NY COVID19 Pay

  • An employee is eligible for three instances of COVID pay from the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. In order to be eligible for COVID pay the second and third time, the employee must receive a COVID-positive test result.
  • Nonexempt employees: supervisor enters NYS COVID19 pay code in Kronos
  • Exempt employees: employee submits EX NYS COVID absence in Oracle Employee Self-Service for supervisor approval. This entry captures the absence information in hours but does not change the employee’s pay. The employee will still see their pay as regular hours on their pay stub. Refer to the Employee User Guide for Oracle entry instructions.

(2) PTO means paid time off. PTO for this purpose includes any available sick leave, vacation, and/or grandfathered sick time.
