CRIME ALERT  Thefts reported from unlocked residences

RIT’s Public Safety Department is investigating three thefts which were reported over the weekend in Nathaniel Rochester Hall and Residence Hall B. Two thefts occurred in Nathaniel Rochester Hall on Saturday 02-25-17 in between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. An unknown person reportedly stole a wallet from an unlocked residence hall room and a purse from another unlocked residence hall room.

The third theft occurred in Residence Hall B where a wallet was stolen from an unsecured room on Sunday 02-26-17 in between 2:00 am and 1:00 pm.

This crime alert serves as an important reminder to always lock your residence and first floor windows to minimize opportunities for crime to occur.  Immediately report suspicious persons/behavior to the Public Safety Department, and always close propped-open outer doors to bolster residential safety.
