Boo Poulin's work is graphic, geometric and precision oriented. She incorporates sterling silver, pearls and steel cable into the context of jewelry. The deliberate use of precious and non-precious materials, combined with industrial technology and standard hand skills extends the traditional parameters of the jewelry object and expresses a personal and contemporary aesthetic.
Boo studied with Albert Paley at SUNY Brockport, and later received her MFA from RIT School for American Crafts. She opened a design and production studio in 1983 and actively maintains it today.
