Marika creates intricate patterned watercolor illustrations of  animals and nature-inspired collections. World textiles, folk art, and Art Nouveau motifs influence her work. Each image begins with a detailed pencil sketch and then is transferred onto watercolor paper incorporating many layers of paint utilizing a number of very tiny brushes.
