Candelabra

As an artist and academic, my itinerant practice is inspired by my observations as a woman in filmmaking and as a blue-collar tradesperson. My work – which takes on various forms, including public art, painting, projecting sculptures, metalwork, and film – reconfigures light, color, sound and space to produce surreal environments built to explore and examine the fluctuation between personal, physical, and hyper realities. I pull from extremes, incorporating surreal world-building and my love of physics and historical research into my studio practice.
