Enamel + Pearl Pendant 'In the Fold'
This pendant is formed from a folded plane of copper with an angular fissure opening. The scroll-like patterned enamel finish - essentially glass fused to the metal surface - is featured on both the front and back and features a sizable fresh water pearl on each side.

Juan Carlos came from his hometown of Mexico City to attend RIT’s School for American Crafts where he earned a BFA and MFA. He is now an associate professor who teaches and lectures nationally & internationally. Juan Carlos maintains a studio where he creates highly detailed and elegant jewelry and sculpture that reflects a technological sensibility melded with natural forms.
