About the Artist

Debra is a marketing and outreach specialist at Rochester Institute of Technology. She owns her own art business and works in pastels, acrylics, metals and unique mosaic tiles. In addition, she teaches Pilates and is a freelance writer and marketing consultant.

Jacobson has previously lived in Sweden and Japan. Her travels have been plenty—to many parts of the United States, Europe, Africa, and the rainforests of Peru. Her work is inspired by primitive and diverse cultures.

Each one-of-a-kind jewelry piece is a combination of tribal relics and charms juxtaposed with a modern, asymmetrical colorful design. Her work includes ancient Roman and Czech glass, trade beads, resin, coral, semi-precious stones and components from around the world.
