A yunomi (Japanese: 湯のみ) is a form of teacup made for daily tea drinking. Made of ceramic, it is taller than wide and has a trimmed and turned foot.
Paired sets of yunomi are called meoto yunomi which means ‘married couple’. They are of the same pattern, but not identical. A variation in color, size, and shape is typical. The yunomi is a highly valued and collected form.
