About the Artist
Rochester Institute of Technology
Fine Art, BFA 1969

Paul’s creative path began at RIT in the 1960s. His professors and fellow students helped to inform and inspire a work ethic and knowledge of the wider art world. Later, Paul taught thirty-two years at SUNY Oswego while also devoting time to his studio practice. He describes the two experiences as two important geographical and conceptual spheres of art activity and influence. One turbulent, often irreverent and spirited (RIT) and the other (Oswego) as more structured, reserved and formally directed. Both have positively impacted his overall studio practice. The fortuitous pattern continues to this day.
