Senior Academic Advisor
Amanda joined the School of Interactive Games and Media as a Sr. Academic Advisor in January 2012. Prior to her role as an academic advisor, Amanda worked as a Community Enrichment Coordinator/Residence Coordinator in the Center for Residence Life at RIT and in other Student Affairs roles at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Amanda earned a B.A. in Religion, concentration in Hinduism, from Dickinson College and studied abroad in Tamil Nadu, India during her junior year. She also earned an M.Ed in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel and a Certificate in Internationalization in Higher Education from Kent State University. Amanda’s professional interests include professional staff training and development, social media and technology use in higher education, and student development.
Amanda is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but has grown to love Rochester and all it has to offer. She enjoys traveling both inside and outside the United States, experimenting with new recipes and cuisines, reading memoirs and books focused on travel writing, and watching professional football.
