Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC)
In 2015, the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC) was born. Competitors in CPTC are charged with attacking and analyzing a simulated environment that mimics real-world critical infrastructure networks. The competition focuses on improving organizational security by defining, measuring and assessing risks in a manner that is similar to a professional penetration testing engagement. This approach gives the competitors a chance to let their talents and training shine.
This year, we partnered with Stanford, Missouri S&T, and Penn State to offer Regional competitions. The top ten teams from across the nation are invited to RIT for Nationals on 2-4 November, 2018. We look forward to seeing what they can do.
