Letter from Chair
Welcome to the School for Interactive Games and Media (IGM) at RIT!
We offer one of the largest and consistently highest ranked game design and development programs in the country and one of the most vibrant and active new media communities available. We build, we make, we share, and we learn all forms and shapes of games and new media.
Across many courses and topics, you will find talented, knowledgeable and award-winning educators. Our faculty are "teacher-scholars" that strive to work with students on a variety of projects. The entire IGM community engages in large-scale, "mega-game" events, hackathons, parties, and competitions. With our outstanding support staff, IGM creates a unique academic experience for our students, and together, we make IGM strong, vibrant, and successful.
Our students find work at places like Amazon Games, Google, Microsoft, Rockstar, and more. They participate enthusiastically in co-op work experiences regionally, nationally, and internationally. Our courses are rigorous and rewarding, spanning a wide range of interests.
Ultimately, our students are well educated and well prepared as a result of their experiences here. As the Director of IGM, it's my privilege and honor to represent the program and IGM today. I look forward to seeing you here at RIT and, again, welcome!
