Applications are invited for Visiting Lecturer and Lecturer positions starting in January 2018 and August 2018.  The Visiting Lecturer and Lecturer will contribute to the academic mission of the School of IGM and will be responsible for course preparations, formal classroom and lab teaching, and new lecture and lab course development in one or more of the following areas:

  • Game Artificial Intelligence
  • Real-time game graphics programming
  • Introductory game programming
  • Data structures and algorithms
  • Game development environments such as Unity or Unreal 

The Visiting Lecturer and Lecturer will also be responsible for student mentoring and contributing to the advancement of the School through service assignments. They will engage in professional growth through activities such as further study, creative projects, and active participation in professional societies. The successful candidates will have a passion for developing games and have either game industry experience or teaching experience in the areas of games/interactive media development and programming to inform their teaching.

RIT’s School of IGM invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in game development with a focus in one or more of the following areas:
Game Artificial Intelligence

  • Real-time game graphics programming
  • Game Architecture and Systems
  • Virtual reality/augmented reality in games

Successful applicants are expected to contribute to IGM and the college via scholarship through externally funded research and teaching and mentoring of BS and MS students. Successful applicants will have a passion for game development and value and engage in cross disciplinary work across the college and university.
