Is transportation to campus and around Rochester available?

RIT does not provide off-campus transportation from the airport, train station, or hotels. Attendees staying at RIT Inn & Conference Center will be able to use the complimentary shuttle service to and from campus. Schedules will be available at the hotel check-in.

RTS will provide complimentary on-campus bus service. The RTS schedule does not include stops at the RIT Inn & Conference Center.

RIT will provide complimentary shuttle service from campus to the hockey game at the Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester, on Saturday, October 15th. Shuttles will run from 5:00pm - 7:00 pm, departing from Lot S on campus, to the Blue Cross Arena. Shuttles wills return to campus immediately following the end of the game.

Uber and Lyft transportation are also now available in the Rochester area!

What is Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend?

Brick City Homecoming is RIT's annual celebration of alumni, students, parents & families, faculty, staff and friends of the university.

Is Brick City Homecoming just for alumni?

No, it is not. RIT combines parent weekend and alumni reunions into one big event. All are welcome!

Do I need to pre-register/sign-up for events?

Yes! We strongly encourage registering for events ahead of time. Most events, including free ones, have a limited capacity and fill up or sell out quickly.

If I did not pre-register/sign-up for events online, can I still attend Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend?

Yes, of course! If space is still available for events, you can register for them in person at the welcome center during the weekend. The welcome center hours are available under the Check-In Info tab. 

But, please be aware: if you are interested in attending a specific event, it may already be sold out or at full capacity.

How do I register?

You can register for events ahead of time online. This is the most efficient way to guarantee your tickets and attendance at various events. Registration will be available in the welcome center during the weekend, but space will not be guaranteed.

I registered and bought tickets online. How do I get them?

Your tickets will be available for pick-up at the welcome center during the weekend. The welcome center hours are available under the Check-In Info tab on the website.

Can I send my student to pick up my packet?

Yes. They will need to show their student ID.

I registered for events but need to make a few changes. How do I do that?

Log into the account you created when you registered for events. Once logged in, you can make changes to your registration.

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are not available for the Horton speaker, the men's hockey game or the women's hockey games.

How do I cancel my registration if I can no longer attend?

You can cancel your registration online. However, refunds will not be given for the Horton speaker, the men's hockey game or the women's hockey games. All other refunds will be honored.
