Bug dome - imaging bugs in 3D

Location

Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science - CAR-1210

Come learn about a unique imaging system used to capture and display 3D representations of bugs in Madagascar. Multiple cameras capture different views of the bug at the same time, and can then be used to reconstruct the bug's image in 3D. Attendees will learn about the system, see images captured with it, and be able to capture images of their own small objects (car keys, jewelry) and see the 3D rendition.

This small dome was used to take 3D photos of bugs in Madagascar.
