Digital Weaving

This project entails reframing how traditional hand-woven tapestries are produced. Our project introduces digitization and digitalization into the evolutionary development of fiber art pieces. During the Imagine RIT Festival, our team will begin by demonstrating the various processes involved, including using a painting, digitizing it, working with the digital blueprint, and eventually weaving the design. Spectators at Imagine RIT will be invited to interactively participate with our team in weaving projects based on various samples that we will be showcasing.
