Experience Historical Printing in Virtual Reality

Location

Gordon Field House - GOR-1050

Using Virtual Reality, visitors can learn how to operate a 3D reproduction of a 19th-century cast iron printing press in order to print the title page to William Morris' edition of The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer and walk away with a physical copy of the page they learned how to print. This project explores the possibilities Virtual Reality provides libraries and museums in expanding teaching and research opportunities.
