Magnetic Levitating Bearing for a bi-Ventricular Assist Device

The DragonHeart team exhibit features an actively controlled magnetic levitating bearing for a Bi-Ventricular Assist Device (Bi-VAD), an interactive tank model visually displaying the blood flow through the heart, and a math model depicting the effect heart failure has on circulation. This display will also feature interactive “experiments” that explain the basic principles of electromagnetism.
